Update 6/5: School will not take part in the fact that it does not have good teachers at all. I have switched teachers for my kid only to be told it was the worse switch i could ever do and the teacher she had was better. Out of all teachers and only 1 teacher is good for the 3rd grade?? Hello !! all teachers should be good. No care, only a few fake apologizes that when I talked with charter school board was not mentioned from the principle. No one at the school will take the blame, no one will!! Although they promised from the start, all children will make great strides! its a lie! this school care about making sure they receive all the money, and volunteer hours and a good letter grade to remain open for another year. I hate hate hate ( strong word) this school, my kid will NOT be attending this school next year. Please consider this comment as it applies to Everyone FROM TEACHERS TO STAFF AND PRINCIPLE. No care for students I wish I would have switch my kid early on, attended this school for 3 years. I wanted to make sure this school receives a review update for 2018. 2nd grade i was even told they had to give all the kids a C so the school looks good! This school currently sits at a C. but displays A plus school outside its gate. Its only for Middle school that they are an A school so pleased do not be fooled if you want your kid to go for elementary. Please look up research and statistics before attending this school!!!
I mean I’m a student that attends here and there are some stuff that needs to change, 1. The school lunch is poisoning almost everyone brings there own lunch cause its so disgusting. 2. There’s a lot of fights at this school. 3. The teachers are always yelling. Ms Ferguson is good but you can’t get on her bad side she cares. Ms Barrett can be rude but she cares too and she’s good. Mr Austin is a criminal and needs to stop looking at other girls. Ms Harrison is oblivious of everything. Ms Ware is rude and she gave everyone an F for no reason just because we were talking and when someone came in the room everyone told her that Ms Ware gave them all an F for no reason and when she asked she lied and said no and she gave me my test and she said I did horrible. 4. The principal is so rude she says that your child eats to much. 5. This school is so strict that you have to wear a jacket with the school logo on it and they won’t allow hair color if you want to dye your hair it has to be a natural color. And that’s that so don’t send your child to this school if you don’t want any of this to happen to your child
I am was so honored to get my child into this school. Mr. Self was amazing and had great expectations for the students and staff and it showed. There is a complete disconnect in this school now. Parents are lost and on what is going on right now. I am hearing it’s because of corporate or that there is major changes taking place with staff, educational processes, overall changes that affect our children. You are emailing some teachers and you never hear back from them, while others are amazing. My fear is next year is it going to get worst. Our kids are be confused by the constant changes and lack of communication. It is not a military school but it feels like one. I use to feel so welcomed there now it is weird..just weird and many many parents are feeling this way. The way the school was ran before it felt like a family… just my opinion…wanting the best for my child.
