Went here since kindergarten, was sent to ISS 3 times for no reason. Was pulled out of class and told to follow the counselor into a room with nothing and told I could not continue my work until I thought about what I did. After what felt like 3 hours, I was returned to my class and told I could not say anything about what happened or they would throw me into ISS and fabricate a story to incriminate me. Mrs. Gomberg (I think that is how you spell it,) before she retired had on multiple occasions repeatedly verbally attack students for apparently “fighting” in the hallway. Staff here seemed to favor those from families who worked at the school, teachers here don’t teach your kids, they slam you in front of a screen and indoctrinate you, they teach your kids to be frail in nature, they teach you that “you are getting bullied because your friends don’t want to do what you want”, staff is slow to realize differences in playing and malicious intent, in recess, kids are targeted by staff, I had a friend with autism who was verbally assaulted and harassed by students and the teacher, (Mrs. Kelley) seemed to egg them on. If you go here, or are planning to send a child here, I strongly suggest adams elementary or a separate local school, they do not know how to function as a school, they must have a different motive in mind. -Former student

I also had a brother who was constantly attacked by anther student and he got in trouble this school is a hell hole don’t go. Not only this the teachers are abusive they constantly verbally attack students. -former student

I love this school. I’ve been here since kindergarten and never felt like I was in the wrong place. The faculty is nice, and I can make friends easily. I’m leaving, and may be okay with it, but I couldn’t have asked for a better k-9th experience.

You may not like it if you don’t like strict teachers, or teachers that can be your friend, but I enjoyed it here. The teachers now you by name and try to make sure you’re working on passing your classes

However, there is a bullying problem that goes unnoticed. And I do believe that the staff could do better in that department. But I still love this school and the fun we have here

I love this school! Even though I haven’t been here since kinder, I still feel like this is my second home. I’ve made so many great friends and the teachers are amazing. Love the unique program and spanish culture. I have learned so much from this school and it has made some of the most memorable moments in my life! Some of the people who have influenced my life are all the Jr. high teachers, my friends (Mar, Mckaylee, Shyael, Dacie, Katie, and Addie) and the other faculty members. I can’t wait for my journey to continue in 9th grade and my experience to go to spain!
