North Park School shines at holiday time with the best local light show in the area. From a hugs Happy Holidays row of magnificently lit trees, lit igloo with penguins, and beautiful nativity scene — fun for all ages and great for photos. During the summer, the Village of Arlington Heights hosts special events here, and any day is a good day to visit with a stroll by the beautiful fountain. Note: no dogs allowed.
This is a great spot for families to walk around and see Christmas lights for the holiday. We went after Christmas and the lights were still up. We took a 2, 3, 4 and 8 year old and they loved running around to all the different light displays. It doesn’t take very long to see all the displays but enough time, considering the cold weather. It’s a short walk from the Arlington Heights train station.
