I love this school. I’ve been at oak grove middle for a year and a half. I’m going into 8th. Some of the information on this website needs to be updated. We have band, orchestra, musical theater, and choir. We have 3d art and just a main art class. We have Cheer leading, basketball, volleyball and track. We have a great student council and we also have morning announcements (class for student, not club). I love all the teachers and staff and there are not many problems with bullying. We also have the avid program, its a class for students who what to improve there organization skills and get ready for college. Avid stands for Advancement, Via, Individual, Determination. This is a great school and students can get involved. We may be a C school but the school and students are all helping to bring it to an A. Comment wrote on July 11 2016.
Horrible School. I had the worst experience with Dr. Coffin and Dr Wolford. I totally agree with the prior person that left a review. They dont listen to you and they walk away from you because they dont want to do their job. I feel sorry for the other parents. The principal Dr. Coffin is so “professional ” she tried to explain an issues that she dealt before and she used the ” N ” word. I was a bit shocked that she would even repeat that word as an example. She got offended because I told her that the school had bad reputation as it is, now I dont have to question why they have a bad reputation, it all comes down to the leaders of that school. HORRIBLE SCHOOL DONT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THAT SCHOOL. If you ever have an issue with your kids, They will never take action of anything.
This school is bad i got suspended because i told the officer the kid i fought punched me in the face and she screamed on the top of her lungs and said she was going to arrest me and almost threw hand cuffs at me and threw a big bulky book at me… Btw its called freedom of speach i wish this school wasnt s school and the teachers wont grade your work. I turned in 6 pages and she said you get a passing grade and i still have a F the teaches will keep your phone even if your parents cant get them and mr McDermott is the worst teacher he will take away your phone even if it falls out your bookbag the staff and teachers are horrible look at the reviews this school is torture and dont send your kods here please
