Oakmont Elementary School, Fort Worth | Fees, Rankings, Address, Admission, Vacancies, Reviews & More

Me and my son both HATE this school. They couldn’t locate my child TWICE. His teacher makes them run laps if they miss questions on test (which she didn’t get approval from the parents). If my son brings snacks from our house approved by me, his mother, that they feel isn’t “healthy enough” they will take it away and he will either have no snack or get literally a very small amount during snack. Oh and the snack is something like chips which THEY HAVE DURING LUNCH!! They attempt to charge you FOR EVERYTHING that’s going on even when it’s supposed to be something fun for the kids. I’M not allowed to pick up MY OWN son after 2:15pm even though I’m the mom. Also, along with all the other kids in his class have been bullied by another student and nothing has been done about it. He is twice the size of all the other children and he’s physical with them…..boy and GIRLS!! AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF my son was told by an older student on the bus he was going to bring a knife to school and stab him with…..I’ve tried to call the principal several times and have gotten nothing back about this issue.m which is a huge concern for me. What kind of principal don’t care enough to return a concern parents call about something as serious as this. It was a HUGE mistake to transfer my son to Oakmont Elementary and he will for sure return to the better school he attended for PreK and Kinder, North Hi Mount Elementary!!!!

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!!!!! Horrible school and my son will not return for 2nd grade!

my daughter is in 1st grade at oakmont its a ok school , but her teacher quit and she has a new teacher and this new teacher has favorites and does not treat the kids equal , a littlte boy hits my daughter and the stomach and the little ddnt get in trouble until i talk to principlal but when my daughter talks in class she comes to my car and tells me and put my daughter in time out every time , my daughter gave the cafteria cashier a dollar for a ice cream it wasnt enough so the cashier keeps it and put it in the register , didnt give it back , she kept it and a week later my daughter ask how much in her bank account she saids 10 cent , so where is the dollar, that cruel to take a 6 year old kid dollar, its not alot of money but to a six year is . not a happy parent about this oakmont ele

Okmont is a fun place and I’m not gust saing that because I go there I’m saing that because lve ben there for 5 years now and because of ms.mccord and mrs.Avery and all the other teachers but the best class is gym class mrs. Alsy she is the best in the gym class and ,mrs.monnus,and mrs.?????????? I don’t know there names that will~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Abigal Lowry
