This school was pretty decent up until 8th grade. In 6th and 7th grade it wasn’t bad but the teachers could have been better but 8th grade was TERRIBLE. I had one good teacher named ms. Lancaster and she might have been the best teacher I’ve had. But when it came to the others they were awful. The language arts teacher was okay but he quit. The math teacher taught some but would waste so much time, she was fired. And finally the history was the worst teacher I’ve ever had. She had NO control over the class and every day we did the same thing, warm up, look at a PowerPoint and not learn a thing and then did group work. My favorite class before 8th grade started was history but after that I’m not to sure if I like it anymore. Not to mention I practically lost a full year of learning history because of this awful teacher. Luckily she was fired. Then you have the front office which is terrible. Very rarely are they nice but the rest of the time there snobs. Now, the principal is terrible. I am convinced she does not do anything and I have never heard her talk. This school is pretty alright but I’m hoping it’ll be better for years to come but I was happy to get out of that school.

In my opinion, this is one of the best middle schools to send your children to, parents. I was a student from August 1997 to June 2000 – and this was one of the most challenging schools I went to (besides Adams and Southeast), but I turned out fine (despite a few struggles here and there). Teachers and staff are excellent – although if students are starting 6th grade here, it may be tough at first, but it gets easy once you get the hang of it by the 7th. You will NOT be disappointed.
