I’m back in Missouri telling all my friends about my excellent, exhilarating and soul fulfilling experience with Oceanside Surf School. It was one of those meant to be moments in life when I stopped to talk to Gonzo about surfing and lessons and then met Matthew and committed to be there last Sat at 9 instead of with one of the other schools where I got the impression I was only going to be a #. Gonzo is such an excellent teacher and I feel like he gave 110% to make sure I learned not only the basics, but safety and environmental kindness and appreciation for the ocean and everyone and thing that it connects with. My one request was learning from someone that believed they could teach me in a way I would be standing up surfing before my lesson was over and Gonzo made certain I accomplished that goal.
