This is a good school ,but it has a serious issue with bullying. My kids and a few other kids that I know have all been victims of bullying at this school. The principal seems to think her school is perfect but after having issues with bullying with 2/3 of my kids I know different. I have spoken with other parents and they seem to have very similar experiences. I was initially told that this was a school where bullying was not tolerated but I find myself looking into other schools at this point but I feel stuck because my oldest isn’t having issues , its just my other two and its hard to find a good school that will take all three. I used to think so highly of this school until I saw how the school handles these type of situations.
Goodyear campus is terrible, and has been going downhill for a few years now. Each year our children were there seemed to get worse. We kept with it hoping for the best when we realized that it isn’t going to improve. The principal lacks common sense, and turns a blind eye to real issues. Communication is poor. I saw a huge improvement in my children’s love for learning and attitude when I took them out. It says something when one of the main founders leaves the school and starts another because they stopped being true to the standards they were founded on.
I love that this school offers a 4 day school week and does not send kids home with assignments/homework. The education my children receive here has been meeting my standards and all seems to be pretty good. The only issues involve a few staff members and the attitudes they have towards others, including the scholars. It’s unfortunate that they are educators but have little to no patience. Other than that, I am satisfied with this campus.
