This school and staff are useless. I have had so many issues and ended up pulling my kids out. Best decision I made! The principal is rude and incompetent to deal with any confrontation.
Absolutely appalled by the Office & Miss Lennon ( year 1) on Wednesday 11th May 2022.

I was asked to collect my employee’s son on 11/05. The office was informed at 12:59 pm by the father that I would be collecting the child and was asked to send the child to the office for collection. At 2:45 pm I arrived at the front office and stated my name & the child I was collecting. The lady at the reception desk requested that I go straight to the child’s classroom and pointed me in the direction of the classroom.

When I arrive at the classroom I’m met by Miss Lennon and an empty classroom. Miss Lennon abruptly asks who I am and asks what time the father called as she hasn’t been advised. I advised her that the father called at 12:59 to advise the office. Her next words were “well we’ve got a problem as I don’t know where the child is”. For the next 15 minutes, we frantically searched the school looking for a 6-year-old child. Yes, you heard my right a 6-year-old child has been able to leave the classroom & possibly the school without a guardian!!!.

Whilst we are searching for the child, I mention that I’m calling the father to let him know to which this obnoxious woman by the name of Miss Lennon hisses “well he’s not going to know where he is!”. After 15 minutes of searching that seems like a lifetime, I stop Miss Lennon and say “So you’re telling me a 6-year-old child is just allowed to leave the class and or school with no guardian?” To which I’m told Yes !. We then find the missing child wandering around the oval by himself. I voice my disgust as to the lack of supervision to Miss Lennon, she then looks at my child and says “is that your first child is it?” to which I reply yes she then rolls her eyes and says “oh that’s why” !

At this point, I am absolutely furious at how this atrocious woman can call herself a teacher. I go straight to the office to express my frustration but the woman at the office doesn’t seem to care at all!

I would NEVER recommend Miss Lennon or Orelia Primary to any parent. These are meant to be caring members of the community who are meant to supervise and provide safety to our children. This child at 6 years old is able to leave the class & the school without so much as a “where is your Mum or Dad”. We will be taking this matter further and I hope Miss Lennon is reprimanded for her disgusting attitude and her lack of care.

Orelia primary school is an awesome public school. The teachers are first rate, friendly, professional and are always happy to discuss how the kids are doing in their classes. I’d recommend them to anyone interested in a great learning environment.
Eh its ok i guess i don’t recommend it though
great school
