As respected members of the community with multi-generational connection to this school, we’ve been appalled by the lack of professionalism, care, and unacceptable behaviour demonstrated by this school’s current principal. Despite our small child being physically attacked and even spat in the face by a particular student for more than a year, the OLN principal repeatedly and vehemently insisted to me that she did not consider this bullying!! The principal wouldn’t discuss the matter with the bully, and refused to take any appropriate action to address the problem to ensure our child’s safety. We are shocked by the principal’s indifference and lack of compassion and care for our child’s well-being.
Furthermore, throughout this meeting, the principal behaved intimidatingly towards me, glaring and yelling rudely. I even had to ask the principal to tone down her behaviour, but she continued unchecked. This unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour towards people is unacceptable, especially for a principal of a Christian school.
A complaint was lodged with the local parish, and a meeting was scheduled to discuss this principal’s handling of our child’s bullying and her unacceptable behaviour towards me. At the conclusion of this meeting, the priest asked Anne to acknowledge her conduct and apologise. Instead, the principal sat back in her chair, crossed her arms, and remained silent. Despite further prompting from the priest, she still refused to acknowledge her behaviour or apologise.
Anne Doherty has been difficult to deal with for teachers and has regressed OLN to a school that’s religious to the extreme, much to the detriment of student development.
Francis Fahim is a misogynist who makes unilateral decisions for only his benefit. He refuses to talk to women on the OLN TC committee; refuses to interact with adults and kids of the parish tennis club despite always being welcomed, and has no moral compass when revealing ‘plans’ for ripping up the tennis courts.
