Mixed experience from this primary school. Some great teachers and some absolutely awful. Was bullied and excluded from games during playtime when I was a child and nothing was done by the previous current teachers to resolve it. Had a teacher lay her hands and pour holy water on me and multiple other students in P3 – this issue was resolved however the principal at the time tried to convince me “it was just an accident”. Deanby also had a habit of nominating the same students for plays and nativity’s, and not alternating it to ensure all students have a chance to perform. Hopefully now those things have changed, but felt it was necessary to inform you of my experience.
when i was a student here, i was bullied very badly and the school did nothing to help. i was 1 out of 3 black girls in our classes and this was the worst 2 years of my life. the racism was unbelieveable.
