The staff in admissions and finance at this school needs some serious help. On 08/30/22 I received an email from admissions for my sons assessment evaluation for kindergarten. Which occurred on Wednesday at 10am. I didn’t hear anything about the results of the assessment after being told I should receive a email later that day by the teacher who conducted the assessment. I emailed admissions on 08/08/22 inquiring about the results of my sons kindergarten assessment. On 08/10/22 admissions emailed me back informing me that the applications were submitted and accepted and to please refer to the acceptance email to complete enrollment. On 08/11/22 I sent an email thanking them for finally responding and informing them of the issues that the website for enrollment is having. Finally on 08/17 I am able to enroll my kindergarten child. Yet, a gut feeling had me hold off on my second child. After paying the $100 fee for enrolment I am contacted by admissions again informing me that my child was actually not accepted and seemingly after all the emails we have been sharing forgot that she sent me a voicemail the day of the assessment that seemed to be lost or was unsure what happened. She went on to inform me that my son instead wanted to play with toys and didn’t have a firm grasp on the pencil so he would not be able to attend their school. During this time I am finalizing documents with financial aid only to be told I should be receiving child support from my child’s father to pay for his school I never knew that decision was for others to take. After being told that they see everything being completed and just having the financial aid be processed. The fact that I am already judged as incapable of paying so they go ahead and ask for the child’s father. How do you know if the child’s father is in the country? Does every separated mother in this country HAVE to receive child support to support their child? After receiving an email of acceptance only to be told a week and a half later that they’re not accepted and instead would be put in pre-k then having to pay full tuition without financial aid. I was clearly discriminated against and I will be taking matters up. So much for a school spreading the love of Christ. The emails and phone calls shows a lot. Signatures of for his glory or Blessings cannot cover the injustices that you individuals are causing families.
Our savior new American school has been a fantasist experience for my step daughter. She started in kindergarten and is currently in fifth grade. She sincerely loves her friends, teachers, classes and most of all Bible. Our savior is Christ centered. Daily prayer and chapel which is open to family as well is a great positive way to start your day. As a parent I look forward to having my other daughter also attend our savior when she is ready for kindergarten. I myself also attended our savior. The school core values are strong. The faculty is also strong. The teachers are like family they truly love their students. The class sizes are small which is a great teacher to student ratio. As a member of PTC- parent teacher connection which is similar to PTA I must say the opportunity’s are endless. The school staff along with myself and other involved parents volunteer our time for school events for the children. Every year we have new ideas and it’s always worth it to see the endless smiles on our children faces. If you are looking for a affordable, small, Christian centered school who will treat you like family you have found the right school. The devotion of the faculty is unbelievable we are just super thankful and blessed. My husband and I recommend this school especially if you are looking for the love of god to always come first followed by a strong curriculum.
OSNAS is a school that I wish every child could have the opportunity to go to. The environment is set for a positive learning experience. I personally have experienced the teachers and administration concern for my grandson’s education and needs to be sincere and on point. Everyone has shown that they were invested in his academics, and overall, well-being.
Coming to OSNAS was an easy decision. My grandson was refusing to go to school. You can only imagine the challenge to make them go to school, do their work and be accountable. Since coming to OSNAS my grandson has progressed in all those areas. He wants to go to school, he can communicate what he has learned, and he looks forward to going any chance he can to their basketball workouts. OSNAS has made sure that any service my grandson needed to receive to support his academics was provided. As you can see, I can’t say enough, right from the friendly greeter, teachers and to administration, they have nothing but your child’s best academic interest at heart. OSNAS for me and my grandson has been God’s Blessing.
