A point of emphasis for any parents considering this school. All the old reviews are from when OSEC was run by the prior administration.

Our first year under the old administration was tremendous. The education was great. As parents of mixed race children we really appreciated how diverse and inclusive the environment was.

OSEC changed operators after the 2022-2023 school year. The new operators never reached out to the parents to introduce themselves.

For over 2 months we brought our child to OSEC without knowing who the people were that were in charge of our child’s education.

If that sounds made up, or implausible, or coming from an angry reviewer, here is the first email that was sent to us on November 3-

“We are now two months into the school year. How time flies!

…

Over the summer, we did have some large transitions in our administration and staff.

…

In early August, Our Saviour Early Childhood brought on board a new administration team to oversee and manage the day to day operations of the school.”

So yes, that is what happened.

Everything really went upside down when the new administration terminated our child’s teacher on a Friday night, with zero communication or time to prepare our children for the change, and no chance for our kids to say good bye to their teacher.

We as parents understand the need to change staff, but what made it harder on the kids was it being done by complete strangers.

After the termination a majority of the parents from this class met up at OSEC to ask for answers. We requested an in person meeting, preferably sooner than later. The new administrators replied that their preferred meeting was not in person, but a Zoom at 7pm. The Zoom did not start on time.

At this point we decided to pull our child from OSEC and we haven’t looked back.

A few weeks after we left I realized my checking account was still linked to their Brightwheel page. I emailed and asked to have my checking account disconnected. I have yet to receive a reply.

I only leave positive reviews. You can take a look at my history. I was taught if you have a problem, address it in person. I attempted to do that and then was then ignored regarding a billing concern. So here we are. A really sad ending to what got off to a great start.

I did my best to just give you Google users information. Considering this is a school, and in an effort to be professional, I’ll leave opinions out.

To OSEC, good luck. To whoever is reading this, good luck with your decision!

My daughter is currently going to this school which is a PK only grade. I am putting this review up for all the parents now thinking about where to apply and send their children for 2016 PK. The principal Mr Warren Castellani is a warm and welcoming contribution and has created an amazing cozy and family like atmosphere. The highlights for me was that they focus only on one grade (can be daunting for children that are starting school for the first time if they share an area with bigger kids),
provide religion/moral education as a choice and meals are provided by a private chef that is extremely healthy and colourful. Go in for a visit. Registration reaches full capacity each year within 1-2 days from my understanding.
