I went to Pacific all three years of middle school. I had about 3 teachers I didn’t like, 2 I found boring, and 2 classes I found the subject boring. I had choir with the amazing Mr. Vaughn (shout out to him, he’s still helping my choir sight reading tests today in high school), and Mr. Kutkey taught me basic keyboarding and was super engaging. Mr. Hadlock was my entertaining 8th grade science teacher, and my all-time favorite science teacher (6th grade, hard to believe it was 6 or 7 years ago now) recently retired. I loved the school, the library, all of it. I miss it still sometimes. I’ve seen Cascade Middle School (been inside for a choir performance for the 7th graders) and it’s like a prison; bright colors, all cookie-cutter stuff. Gross. Pretty, but not my thing. Pacific was dark brick, natural, and I loved the place. There were of course bullies and kids who didn’t try like any other school, but the school and its faculty were AMAZING. 10/10 would do this again. I would totally go back if I could, but I’m a senior in high school now. :/
