initially my experience was amazing. for the first two months my daughter was in the infant rm with ms nancy , ms adriana and ms miriam. she was blossoming and learning so much so fast it was great. school policy is that when your child turns two they move to mrs madelain visaurris class. thats when things changed. mrs madelaine was stern and lazy. she basically told me she wasnt about to spend any attention on any child and they would know whos boss in her class. well in the two wks my daughter attended her class she began to cry all the time, come home hungrier than normal and stopped napping. they offer daycare web cam and i observed mrs vissauri blatantly ignoring my crying child for twenty minutes as my daughter followed her around the class begging for comfort. when i arrived at the school ten minutes later i heard her yelling at the kids to be quiet and upon entering the class i found my daughter terrified crying hysterically in the corner. i withdrew her from school that day. i requested a copy of the video footage and was denied. they circled the wagons so to speak, i was even told by another teacher who asked to remain anonymous that her abuse was intentional and i should do something. if that wasnt enough they told me my daughter was autistic and gave me referrals for testing, scaring me to death. well i had her tested and she is above her age level with no abnormalities. the neglect and irresponsability by mrs madelaine , her superior ms karen and the assistant director mr shafer was cruel and damaging. thankfully my little girl is thriving at her new school.
They have made Ava and our family feel so welcomed at this school. I am very excited for Ava to start her journey at Page Private School and I know that Ava is over the moon about it. My parents are thrilled and my husband is thrilled. There are many happy family members here that are so impressed with this school and that Ava is fortunate enough to attend. I am very grateful for everything that the school has done to allow Ava to attend Page. The day that Ava went for her visit, it felt like home to me. There are so many things about the school that I love. The staff and all of the teachers are friendly and seem to care very much about their students. My daughter felt very important and cared for. She came home glowing and smiling ear to ear. I love that the teachers eat lunch with the children and are out on the playground with them. The students were kind to Ava and very well behaved and supportive. The art and music program are wonderful as well as the Spanish Class, Computer Lab, Science Lab, and Library. The school is clean and inviting and Ava feels very safe and secure there. I know that she will be in a safe and nurturing environment while she grows and learns and for a mother, this is priceless. I love that the children get to play before school to get their wiggles out before learning and that they recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing a patriotic song each day. I feel very happy and blessed to have Ava and our family be part of such a wonderful school.
I didn’t know what to expect from this school, especially since my son’s last school was amazing and I was scared that he wasn’t going to like it as much. But since he started half a year ago, he never stops talking about his friends and his teachers, and is always excited to go to his new school.
He initially started in Ms. Nicole’s room and then recently moved to Mrs. Brenda’s classroom. Every morning when I use to drop him off with Ms Nicole, I always asked her how he has been doing, and she was always quick to respond if I had any questions about his day before.
And I am also very proud that every time I ask him about what he learned that day, he always tells me about a new project or activity. At the end of the day, as long as my son is happy and excited to go to school the next day, I feel they are doing a great job.
