My niece has been at the PTS for almost a year now. She is always so anxious to get to her homework and is excited to share what she has learned. I noticed that after she started at the school she has developed great strength in memorization and can communicate at an advanced level for her age. She adores her teachers and speaks of them often. Her behavior has improved tremendously since being enrolled, both in her manners and how she communicates and interacts with other children and adults. The best part is that she enjoys it, and its not a hassle for her parents to get her ready to go there. She is excited to go and looks forward to it.

The staff are all very professional and passionate about what they do. They look for ways to teach the fundamentals of Islam all while making it enjoyable and fun for the children. During Ramadan and Islamic celebrations the school turns into a Disney Land of sorts for kids. They put in tremendous effort for weeks to prepare for celebrations to ensure that the kids enjoy themselves with their family and community.

One of my favorite things about the PTS is the diversity. There is a great sense of community with people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and ages. Diversity is something to be valued and I believe that that thought should be instilled in our youth starting at the elementary level.

I don’t think a review could be complete without mention of the imam and his family who are the operators of the PTS. I have never met a family more caring and compassionate. I have witnessed their generosity and empathy every single time I have stepped foot in the school. They are always more than willing to help those in need or to help those who are looking to strengthen their faith. They welcome with open arms people of other faiths to come in and learn and ask questions about Islam’s teachings and principals. They are respectful, kind, and humble. They are tolerant , well educated and knowledgeable on an array of subjects.

Attending the Palm Tree School is a valuable opportunity and I would highly recommend it to those looking for a private Islamic school in which embodies the core values of Islam and education.

Palm Tree school is one of the few if not the only school in the region that teaches the accurate teachings of Islam, according to the Quran and sunnah. Two of my cousins have been going there for the past two years. The teachers and the staff are professional, dedicated, and treat every student like they are their own child. I’ve seen them stay after school, come on the weekends, spend more time with the students than at times their own families.

In response to the person who said the school does not give tours, they do, they give tours to all guardians once they have filled out the paper work for admission. As a school, it is unsafe to let any random person walk into the school, especially when students are in session. This is why, along with having a security officer, they make sure that only people who are actually interested in admission are allowed to walk around through the school during school hours, with an escort. Secondly and more importantly, PTS is the only Islamic school in the region that is accredited. In fact it is accredited by the same people who have accredited fairfax county. Anyone who would like to verify this can check their website. Which puts to question the credibility of this reviewer. I would advice anyone who is interested in the school to do their own research, and check the school for themselves before listening to non credible sources. I am sure they too will see how wonderful the staff and the education offered by this school is.

When I started at Palm Tree School I did not know any Arabic at all. I did not know how to read or write Arabic, I also did not know that much Quran. Now I have been going to this school for three years and I have improved so much in my Quran, Arabic, and of course my manners as a Muslim. The teachers Masha’Allah really care about you and want to help you learn. I now love Palm Tree School and I feel that within these three years, I have learned so much more since I first started, I also have made many new friends that will always teach me right from wrong. I’m so happy I started this school because if I never did, I would not know as much Quran and Arabic that I do now.
