Honestly, When I first came to Paredes I was terrified. My family said it was the most HORRIBLE school in Austin. I enrolled in 6th grade. The first impression of the school was great! All the teachers and staff are so amazing and willing to teach the students. I have been to worse schools than this. This school is very well taken care of and clean. All the teachers care about the students and are willing to give the students extra time to do math tutoring. The new principal wants us to get an education and hold us to high standards. The other kids telling you that it is so horrible dont either interact or they are not seeing it through my eyes. If you are thinking about enrolling in Paredes, give it a chance. Maybe you will see it in my eyes for yourself.
Nothing but bad experiences with this school. Counselors don’t get back with you when preparing your son for high school coursework. Counselors don’t come to the front, just ask the secretary what your questions are. I have to be frustrated to take the time out to write a bad review, but they earned it. Now my son signed up for courses not relevant to his degree program and we have to request to be placed into classes. Doesn’t show a lot of concern for their primary duties.
