If I gave 5 stars a few years ago when the school was just new, now the only thing I can say to parents is to avoid taking their children to this school. I had 2 children who attended Park Academy, may daughter just finished last year and I can say since the school became an Academy everything is getting worst there. So many rules and forcing students to be in school no matter if they are sick or having problems. If they are missing they will have a bad attendance. My daughter in her first 5 years there had no absences but last year because she had some problems, health problems they threatened me to report me at some agency that my daughter has low attendance and as I heard she wasn,t the only one. At lunch children from year 6 are the last ones to be served, they can,t choose the food only what is left after the whole school was served and sometimes my daughter told me they had to hurry because there was bot enough time to eat, and sometimes they had to throw the food if they weren,t able to finish. The school also called social care for me without even consulting me or my daughter, I was suddenly called by Social Care service to find out that I am questioned about some things. The teachers are changing every year there, if there were nice good teacher they had to leave because of the management or headteacher. I think this is not good for children as when they finally get used to one teacher another one is coming, another new style of teaching and also To see what children already know takes some time. The communication with office is not good as they think they are always right and not very nice with parents.. this are only a few things I could write here but I was so disappointed lately about how school handled the situation with my daughter. There was no understanding that my daughter is going through some difficult times and. She wasn,t well and also with me I felt the communication was not all right at all.
I’m extremely impressed with Park Community School. Everyone is genuinely nice, knows each child by name and the parents clearly share the great values of the school. On my sons first day, he was very anxious and one mother realised this and asked her sons to take care of my son. In the same week, I witnessed her sons comforting my son and tears literally came to my eyes. The experience has made such a massive impression on my son that he talks about his friends first thing in the morning. I love the ethos, the atmosphere and I feel really lucky that my son has a place at the school. Many people are put off because it’s a Christian-led school but when all faiths go to the school, it’s proof that they aren’t pushing a religious agenda. Rather they are built on Christian principles of respect, love and who wouldn’t need this for their child? Thanks Park Community school and keep up the awesome work.
Wonderful school, my daughter loves the teachers there, they are so kind and considerate. Also the school office is very helpful and efficient.
