hello!
I started At Park View in or about 1954. I think the Head was a Miss Wilmot. I always remember the school as being a very kind and caring place.
There was an old wooden climbing frame at what used to be a grassed over field at the Twig Lane end of the playground.
My two younger brothers went to the nursery which was across the road from the school in Jubilee Park.
Although I live in L15 I have still come back to the park, to where I used to play football when at the school.
Nostalgia is not what it was!

this was my very first school my memories of it are very good. When the swimming bath was built it was a special time for the school and my last year there loved the swimming gala that was great fun. I am sad to hear that the place is on the list for closing yet another old building hitting the dust instead of being upgraded such a shame. My family name is Thompson, we lived in 26 Woodlands Road
I started at Park View in about 1949 having moved from Broadgreen to Huyton with my parents. I remember the Lower Primary Headmistress as a Mrs Willis and the Upper Primary Headmaster as Mr Gabot. We used to get milk at break-time and school-meals from the dining-room at the top end of the Lower Primary yard. We used to go over the road to Jubilee Park for our PE, there were football posts there. I really enjoyed my time there and can remember being friends with an Allan Edwards, Gillian Wilde, Sonia Gould, Jim Cruise, Bobby Bridson and Gary Easthope, who lived over Jubilee Park in Lincombe Road. My last teacher at Park View was Mr.Bell.’Ding dong’ was his nickname, I remember he lived up the top end of Kingsway. He inspired me to the extent that I went on to Prescot Boy’s Grammar in 1956 and from there trained to become a teacher myself,! Happy, carefree days!
Absolutely awful school no time what so ever for the children lack of passion in staff and they are just dam right rude with parents all they are bothered about is the numbers and not bothered about child’s mental heath would very strongly avoid this school if you no what’s good for you
Truly grateful for the staff here at park view academy. They have gone above beyond to help pupils and parent’s/carer’s. Thank you for everything you do.
