I absolutely love this library! They have an amazing selection of books and a wonderful children’s room on the second floor full of books, computers, and activities for young children. My children especially loved the castle and light up board when they were younger. We love to visit the bookstore as well. They have used books of all genres at great prices and the proceeds benefit the library. If you aren’t a big reader but love movies the library is a great place for you as well. They have a huge assortment of old and new movies and have their own *free* version of the red box where you can rent newly released dvds as well as video games.
The Paul Sawyier Public Library is named after one of Kentucky’s most renowned artists. The library itself has a historic feel on the outside with a modern touch on the inside. It’s a beautiful library with associates that embodies the true meaning of southern hospitality. You can view some of Paul’s artwork in this library along with facts and information about Frankfort. A true hidden gem in the city of Frankfort.
The children’s area is amazing! We were visiting from out of town, and this was the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon! There are so many interesting activities for the kids to explore, along with a clear place for us to put books that we read but wouldn’t be taking home with us. The bathrooms were SO family friendly. Our whole family loved it!
