Me and my son have a great bond.
He doesn’t do well with me leaving him with complete strangers.

His first day was today and he was very upset. The owner told me that if he takes longer than two weeks to adjust then I should consider taking him to see a doctor.
Not sure why someone with the experience and credentials that’s she has would suggest something like that considering every child is different and the adjustment period for every child is different.

I continued to do my employment enrollment paper work & a little into doing that they came to the conclusion that me working there isn’t going to work out.(Because I didn’t ask for my employee paper work prior to starting the job and I didn’t ask for enrollment paper work for my son prior to starting on my first day. )

The last daycare I was at they made sure I got enrollment paper work for my son and employee paper work for me. It wasn’t my understanding that that was my job.

We settle that and I go to get my son from his class and he is isolated from the other kids who are sitting down eating lunch in the dark. I ask the teachers why is he in the kitchen area isolated by himself. They say that he went over there by himself. They were comforting him. They weren’t trying to help him feel safe (which is a teachers duty) he was just there alone with a diaper full of poop. Scared and uncomfortable.

The owner also talked with me about getting a pay rate that she did not keep her word on. Before I left she spoke on the fact that there was some disconnect between me and her. She didn’t think I was a good fit anymore.
She didn’t realize that I was offended by her telling me that something might be wrong with my child because he doesn’t want to be away from his mom (a normal child thing)

The staff also was giving red flags.
When I first walked in I didn’t get greeted or helped. Then my son pooped and so I took him to my car to change him. When I come back in I asked where could I dispose the diaper. She insisted that I take it outside to the dumpster. Mind you this is a daycare where they change dirty diapers all day inside.

The responsibility of a teacher is big. We take care of other peoples children so they can go out and make money to take care of their families.
As a teacher and staff of a daycare I fell like they should have been more professional, prepared and not have blamed their lack of communication and preparation on me. They did not show me Christian values today and I was very disappointed because that was and environment I was looking forward to.

I wouldn’t speak ill on people or a facility if they truly didn’t wrong me. This has nothing to do with the fact that they gave me the job knowing all the information they “discovered” today. There are plenty of jobs out here.
Unfortunately this experience was not good at all for me or my son and I want to share that with other parents.

My daughter attended RCPS at the beginning of this year for Kindergerten. We had some concerns as the school year progressed. We switched our daughter to Peachtree Academy Conyers Campus mid year. We expected there to be some hiccups as change can be tough on kids. NOT ONE! My daughter comes home excited about school and now is talking about her teachers and what she is learning. She is thriving socially, coming home with stories of her friends and their favorite times together. Of all of our hopes, the one that I can honestly say has made the BIGGEST difference for us is that we have become a member of the Peachtree family. We appreciate each member of the staff and the parents who have gone out of their way to include us and to make us feel not only welcome, but loved. Definitely one of the best decisions for our child!
I was a student here. I was in the fifth grade. I’m now in ninth and my feelings of this school has never changed. This was the worst time in my life. Even after school ended I was still depressed because I thought I was going to be there for more time. By the end of the year I had had a mental breakdown, there was so much that my mind just could not handle it. Not to mention that the after school program was just a circus. This school made me stop reading, which I had loved. I just had to read too much, I had no time for books I wanted to read, only the mandatory ones. Not to mention that after I was pulled out of the school, they kept my lunch money in my account and the first quarters tuition, even though I was not going to this school. Money hungry and could care less about the students.
