My son just started at Peak Charter Academy last week and so far I am very impressed and completely happy with everything! From the amazing tour we received at the school that was so informative and the whole ease of the registration process, to all the spectacular communication via emails and texts. Everyone that we encountered working at this school is so nice, knowledgable and helpful. I feel this school is really organized and just overall a great school and there are continuous emails and/or texts from teachers, the principal and the school staff with updated information…which is wonderful to have! On top of everything my son already loves this school since day 1, he likes all his teachers, he is excited to go to school, really engaged in all his classes, made friends easily and is overall just a great experience. It is a breath of fresh air compared to my son’s previous schools. I feel so lucky to have him in this school. I can’t wait to see how else this school will impress me for the remainder of the school year! Thank you Peak Charter Academy for being awesome!
My child has been at the school for 4 years and while he has made many good friends. As he entered middle school we both started seeing a decline in how things were run. For example, the students have close to no freedom of what a middle schooler should have. My son keeps complaining about how the teachers are constantly telling us to be in an “orderly fashion” as in facing forward, being silent and on the blue line like as if we were in kindergarten. The teachers and staff also seem to not care about doing anything about this. My son and two of his friends came up with an idea of starting a student council, where they brought up the idea to the dean, where it was said that he would ask Principal Pond to get approval and see what their ideas are. Its been over 6 weeks since and there has been no response as if no one ever cared about listening to students share their ideas. It seems like the school does not care about kids trying to share their opinions on how to improve the school.
We have been at Peak Charter from the very beginning. My son started the 1st year it opened and is now in the 2nd grade and he is doing very well. We are very happy at Peak! Principal Pond is awesome and always can be seen lending a helping hand in any capacity! We love the attentive staff as well. I feel that I have been able to partner with my sons teachers and the staff in general to aid in bringing out the best qualities in my son and also challenging him to do his very best! The school trips are fun as well as the extra activities they have for the children throughout the year continue to PEAK (lol) their interest again and again! 🙂 When I ask my son if he likes his school etc. He always says he loves it and when on vacation he can’t wait to get back to see his teachers and friends. His opinion really matters to me as he spends most of his day there. In summary! We love Peak! 🙂
