Went here for a round robbin last year and the facilities are terrible. I was abused by 3 kids and the teacher for PEGS was really biased and he told me to get off the pitch
Very good school, a little expensive, but overall a great school with nice people.
I had a terrible recruitment experience with this school. which I would like to publicly highlight so that other teachers are also not caught out. I am currently living in Scotland and waited up until 2am to do my interview with the school. I felt everything went well and about two laters later I was told that they would be doing reference checks. However, I noticed the day after my interview that the school had re-advertised the exact same position. I ask the school why this was the case and they assured me that the advert must have automatically relisted on the job site. I thought nothing of it until I reliased that the advert that I applied to and the new advert were different, which means the new advert was changed and deliberately relisted. They had also relisted the position on their school website. I asked them about this and was met with radio silence. I withdrew my application because I now knew what the school was doing. The school knows that getting specialised teachers this time of year is near impossible, and kept me hanging as a backup in case they didn’t get their ideal candidate. This practice is not illegal, but it is unethical and certainly showed the true character of this school.
Really awesome school, finished year 12 in 1999.
The teachers do actually care about your progress, study and work, so your reaction is what you make it out to be, but the teachers and support staff are there for you.
If you are interested in something that is not taught in detail in government schools, then a private like this would be a good choice.
A few downsides; the prices are expensive but this is what you get in an independent school. Also, if you live far from the school, you may need to consider your options.
The school also has extra curricular activities and my favourite was sport, mainly footy and soccer. If you like sport, you can’t go wrong with selecting this school.
I also was abused by a student here. Teachers and principal staff did absolutely nothing.
They are very well aware of this tendency and are knowingly letting her get away with it; completely disrespectful to visitors, and a huge disservice to her – she is learning that it’s ok to abuse people. Kids need boundaries, this school is setting her up for a huge fall with this kind of irresponsibility.
Absolutely disgusting.
