My son went school here 2016 for kindergarten and 2017 for 1st grade. What a decline it’s been. Kindergarten wasn’t terrible because he had a loving caring teacher (Mrs.Sarti) she exceeded all the expectations of what a good teacher meant, sad that she’s longer there. And also that year the principal
( Mrs.Lucas ) was informative and all the kids loved her, she also no longer works there.
Now this year how ever, what a total difference. My son’s first grade teacher (Ms.Jones) was rude, uninformative, careless and a couple times my son would come home upset saying she wasn’t nice and she’d get frustrated and yell at the class. The principal (Mrs. Garcia) also very careless, definitely not as informative, and it was obvious she knew she wasn’t going to be principal the following year by her carelessness and lazy actions. Which there are stories behind why I say these opinions about them but those are far to long for my review. But I’m sure there’s quite a few parents who would agree with me. Only reason why I am giving this place two stars is because the convenience of it being so close to home, and the fact that kindergarten was a great year there. Other than that the parking sucks, they need more cross walks, alot of rude ghetto mom’s in the parking lot and in the street screaming at each other, no funds to take kids on field trips, and hopefully next school year they get a principal who will care.
My nephew goes here, and from what I can see the principal and his teacher have no idea how to handle children or teach for that matter. Belittling a parent and reccomeding to medicate a student because you don’t want to do a student study team to help the child succeed? What happened to classroom structure and no child left behind? Unwilling to work with a child that clearly has a behavior issue an needs help. I am disappointed and I hope no other children or parents get treated this way. The school is supposed to help your child succeed, not half ass and request medication. What a joke! We will be transferring my nephew IMMEDIATELY
My daughter has ADHD and was kicked out of the last 2 schools she went to. These other schools were unwilling to help a child who was not on medication and who needed more help. They got my daughter an IEP and a counselor and assist her in whatever she needs. As far as I’m concerned it’s the best school in the county.
