Our family has had nothing but wonderful experiences the last two years with Teacher Kim! Its very evident that she is thoroughly experienced with these age groups and provides a variety of developmentally appropriate activities and lessons for the kids. Theres no better feeling as a parent than seeing your child thrive in their first experience of school! I am grateful to have found a preschool where my son is safe, positively engaged with his peers and teacher, and excited to go to school each day.
As a former K/1st teacher, I have no doubt that Pine Lake Co-op is a wonderful place for both you and your child to grow and learn together. The co-op model is unique and we have loved building connections with other families. Our younger one will be starting at PLCP in a few months, and were so excited to see his education journey begin!!
The co-op has a unique parent participation and early childhood education model. I was able to observe my child in a classsroom and social setting, and see his strengths and where he needed support. The co-op partners with Bellevue College where parents received training and support from experienced early childhood educators. We also eally appreciated the opportunity to connect and build relationships with the families in the community.
Teacher Kim is a fantastic and highly experienced teacher in the school. Her lessons are thoughtfully planned, incorporating a nice balance of structured activities and play-based learning. It’s incredible to see how she adapts her lessons to meet the unique needs and interests of every child, ensuring that every little one feels seen and supported. She is gentle and nurturing. My child had trouble separating at drop-off but in time he grew his confidence and love of preschool in many parts thanks to Teacher Kim.
Very grateful of our time at Pine Lake Co-op and we will miss the co-op experience.
Co-op model means great student-teacher/adult ratio and very affordable tuition. Getting to volunteer in the classroom has helped me learn more about child development and felt more confident as a parent. It is a great use of my time.
There’s a reason Pine Lake Co-Op Preschool has been a central part of the community for over 50 years! My daughter is a second generation PLCP student!
