This is the schools first year in being in the new building. I agree there needs to be more discipline in this school(when it is warranted) . The students are out of control in some classes, so much so the students complain. A teacher(stem teacher) did call my student stupid, in which i complained loudly about. The communication with parents (SUCKS PERIOD). The way they do classes needs help. Learning 2 languages in the same year, gets them NOT knowing 2 languages. Monday dress code is ridiculous/expensive. You can tell if the staff does not care for the parents(the ones who speak up). I can go on and on but i won’t.This could be a really great school, but a lot of things have to be changed. I wish I had more school choices, mine would probably not go again. Need to stop worrying about opening too many schools at once in different locations and concentrate on fixing the one.
The food is not even made at the school. Its the left overs from an elementary school. The food is hard and cold. The food often has mold and hair on it. The eating utensils are not plastic. They are metal, which means that hundreds of different kids use them every day. They are not washed well. They have 6th graders helping in the kitchen. The eating utensils have water spots and left over food on them. Milk is outdated by weeks. Only aloud to go to the bathroom 6 times during class every 6 weeks. Monday uniforms are BAD. Some teachers have really bad attitudes. No dances or any fun activitys for students. Overwhelming homework.
If you are thinking of enrolling your child in this school DO NOT!!! Many children have left due to poor management and the administration takes no accountability. They lack communication and the curriculum is not what is presented. Betty Hastings should not be running any school!
