Let me start by saying the school is going under new management with a new principal and desk staff this year. This review does not reflect them or any new staff in place for 18-19 school year what so ever. However, this location has made me lose all faith in plato. My two boys both attended this last year. I honestly don’t know where to begin… The staff was extremely rude. My oldest son has an IEP, due to learning disabilities that he is diagnosed with. He has a vocal tick. The teacher.. who is in no way shape or form a doctor, that would pull him for his IEP, yelled at him and attempted to tell my wife that it’s in fact not a tick and he needs to stop. We had him tested when he was much younger. It is in his case file for his IEP. There is a reason so many teachers quit this year. This school hires very unprofessional peoepe. They had a very hard time managing the classes they had. With the announcement that they are adding more classes this year, I’m very glad I moved my boys out. One year of a sh…. Show was enough for me. I went to public school my entire life and I honestly feel that would have been better for my kids.
Both of my kids attend Plato Academy. I love this school so much, that I left 12 years of teaching in the school district to come teach at Plato Academy. It is a wonderful school environment where the teachers are caring and the administration is very supportive with anything parents or teachers need. I have served on the SAC(School advisory council) for the past 3 years and I am currently our school’s PTO president. Superior School District is by far leading in innovative technology and rigorous curriculum to move students forward in the future. The interesting clubs make coming to school exciting, fun, and educational. Plus, every child will learn Greek for 30 minutes a day. I am very blessed to be a part of such an amazing charter school district.
