Great school, so many teachers were amazing and just basically everything else was just perfect. Some things are changing now which is unfortunate but inevitable. Still such an amazing place.
They say the first 5 years of life is so vital to a child’s lifetime, yet my girls between this age did not get to experience all the wonders of early learning due to their tough up bringing in a hospital watching their dad go through terminal illness. Since starting school proved nothing but a challenge for both of them by not being able to experience the joy as a baby reading books and learning their basic ABS’s and counting as time did not allow us to enjoy this precious time.. the simple things we all take advantage of when when we have the opportunity at home with our little ones. Since starting my girls at pleasant Street, it became obvious how much they were behind, in even the most simple of things like being able to sound out words or putting what we consider easy, simply math equations together . With some attentive acceptance, the wonderful staff arranged some intervention, along with other children also needing some extra tuition , to help bring them up to speed to prevent them falling further behind. I feel so lucky for us to be apart of such a strong family orientated community and with this I can not recommend this school highly enough, everyone we have come across have been so caring and so supportive and although we have endured a really tough time, I’m certain we are not alone especially with the pandemic affected everyone. Most of time I feel like I need my kids more then they need me, but when they are struggling, I know pleasant Street primary school has our back. We are forever grateful x
My three children have all gone to Pleasant St PS, I have found it to be fabulous!! I gauge its success by my children’s attitude to school. They enjoyed school, they have had wonderful supportive teachers, many varied educational opportunities to learn and an engaging curriculum.
I’ve been a relief teacher at over 100 schools all around the country. This was one of, if not the best school I’ve worked at.
They do a great job every year
Not sure why they feel it is necessary to sell alcohol at a school fete. It is after all a family event.
