Clapping is apparently “disrespectful” according to the principal. Clearly don’t know have to resolve issues. First, a student lost his phone and therefore the 6th grade counselor decides its a GREAT idea to take away 3 student’s phones, just cause they were in the area even though they didn’t do anything. Second, doing that goes against their “cell phone contract” that they made every student sign. The only time in which adults can take away a student’s phone is when they are using it during class times, taking pictures of others, or using it even though the adult told them not to. Those 3 students didn’t do any of that, yet they still get their phones taken away. Lastly, they can’t deal with one kid who climbed up a metal enclosure. They force students out of the lower yard because they didn’t want to attract attention. But doing so, attracted EVEN MORE attention! In conclusion, this school should probably hire some better staff cause they clearly don’t know what they are doing.
Okay, it was an okay school. They really do tolerate bullying to an extent where someone was in the hospital and the kid who was the bully was only suspended for two days! Also they’re incredibly understaffed and they really don’t care about their students. The only thing was good is the arts program, and even that was sketchy.
I was happy for my friends to walk the stage so of course the appropriate to do is to clap and cheer for your community. But apparently clapping is disrespectful and rude to parents, which is not true at all. The principal didnt let us clap for any of our friends and sent us back to re-walk the stage if any student clapped
