I have some health issues and I love very far away from this college. They have been more than supportive for this. As well as this, the classes and teachers are all very helpful, and have been available to sort any issues out quickly. Overall, I would highly recommend this college due to the high quality of the teaching and the helpfulness of the staff.
At Preston College, the Information Technology department stands out as a shining example of academic excellence and student support. One of the standout courses within this department is “Introduction to Computer Science and Programming.” This course serves as a foundational stepping stone for students embarking on their journey into the dynamic world of IT.

In this course, students are introduced to the fundamental concepts of computer science and programming through a combination of lectures, hands-on projects, and interactive discussions. Whether it’s mastering the basics of Python programming or understanding the principles of algorithm design, the teachers go above and beyond to ensure that every student grasps the material at their own pace.

What truly sets this course apart is the unwavering support and guidance provided by the instructors. They make themselves readily available for one-on-one consultations, offering personalized assistance and mentorship to help students overcome any challenges they may encounter. Whether it’s clarifying doubts, providing feedback on assignments, or offering career advice, the teachers prioritize the individual needs of each student, fostering a sense of trust and camaraderie in the classroom.

Moreover, the teachers leverage innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience. From interactive coding exercises to real-world case studies, every aspect of the course is designed to engage students and deepen their understanding of the subject matter.

Outside the classroom, the support doesn’t end. The faculty organizes workshops, guest lectures, and networking events to expose students to industry trends and connect them with professionals in the field. This holistic approach to education ensures that students not only excel academically but also develop the practical skills and confidence needed to thrive in the competitive IT landscape.

In conclusion, the “Introduction to Computer Science and Programming” course at Preston College exemplifies the institution’s commitment to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for its students. I have previously been an aeronautical student for 1 year and half. I first went there as I was impressed by the engineering hall which is good. However soon into my course I discovered the truth. The teachers didn’t turn up to lesson. And as promised as we would work on a plane during the open evening I never did. They have currently taken onboard the last year of aeronautical students and removed it from the website. I most certainly would not recommend this collage to anyone.
Any construction course offered here is a complete and utter waste of time, from my experience on the level 1 electrical I can say that the facilities lack the required PPE to complete tasks in the workshops as well as enough resources to complete an activity, the written sides of these construction courses are provided by city and guilds, however the team at college can’t figure out how to print pages in order (tutor states this isn’t the first year the books are jumbled up) upon passing the health and safety I was told it was for my CSCS labour card which months later I still haven’t received, upon asking for help I am sent between 5 people and then sent to the head of construction who has no clue what he is doing, whilst trying to explain my dilemma he rudely chimed in every 5 seconds to ‘correct’ me or dismiss what I was saying, before sending me to call the Cscs support line and come back to him, the lady on the phone (WORKS FOR CSCS) told me he is wrong, to which he argues ‘no no come see me next week’ then proceeded to not attend the next week.
The worst college in the UK absolutely horrible the staff don’t care about your education if your thinking about coming here, DONT!!! They do nothing to support you waste of time honestly.
