I usually don’t do bad reviews because we try to be positive, but from personal experience and from what many families have gone through, I hope this will help others. TOXIC ENVIRONMENT FOR KIDS! There are no words that describe how awful this school decide to treat kids. Marnie Richardson is a horrible person; cannot believe she is still allowed to be around kids. This school DO NOT care about your child’s well-being and will do anything to protect their reputation even if it hurts the child emotionally, mentally and physically. Many families including us had to unfortunately experience the abuse the staffs put our kids through. Breaks my heart, because it scars them for life. Bullying from children is one thing, but bullying from adults, especially staffs at school is unacceptable. Marnie Richardson DOES NOT CARE ABOUT KIDS AT ALL, and shame for her, she is also a mother. Her own kids must not respect her either. Not only are students and parents complaining about their horrible experiences, teachers’ that work there cannot stand Richardson at all. Staffs have moved or quit because of her. She is condescending, unfair, unprofessional and shady as heck. She comes across as sweet and nice, but she will stab both you and your child the minute she finds the chance to. Richardson and teachers at this school had repeatedly falsely accused children because of fear of liability. A family had a teacher that confused to mom for accusing them because the teacher’s job was threatened. Good, sweet kids are targeted and singled out to make them look like the problem child. Bullying is not taken seriously, we know many families that leave because of bullying. A lot of terrible stories go unreported or not escalated because of fear of retaliation. It is sad how broken this school is, seems like it could be a district issue given what had happened at LEHS. Change is desperately needed. Neighborhood is beautiful near the lake, but school is horrible! Many families have moved because of the school or have already removed their child. Academic is poor at this school too, lacks STEM curriculum, kids don’t do much in GT either and kids don’t have any homework. Does not prepare them for high school or college. Wished I could write everything reported to us, but it will be the size of a novel. Hopefully this will help other families not make the mistakes that many other families including us had. I am frustrated that I am only one person who will not make a difference, but at least I can try to be that light for some families to see the truth.
Harvest a desire and will for the kids attending to truly love to learn, be excited about thinking outside the box and most importantly allow kids to be kids. After transferring from Frisco ISD, the school offers a curriculum base that allows kids to be active and hands on, which as helped my kids excel and exceed previous standardized test scores as well as alleviate disciplinary challenges from sitting still too long. Thankful to have found this school, and for my boys to attend.
