I saw firsthand how the teachers in EPS 2 mistreated my 2 year old daughter. When I brought It up , the assistant director basically told me I was overreacting and that I wasnt ready to have her in daycare. The first hour of being there my daughter loved it. She was happy in the first class she was in (EPS1). But when I went to go look for her about 30 minutes later to give her a water bottle, they put her in a different class without telling me They moved her with the older twos because she was talking more than the children in EPS 1. I walked in to give her the water and she was quietly playing with another child. This class wasnt as bright and bubbly as the first class but I let it go because my daughter seemed okay. I came back about 30 minutes later to check on my daughter. I looked through the window in the classroom door and I see her laying face down on the floor while the other children are sitting in their cots. As Im watching I realize shes crying because she wants a cot that belongs to another child. I see that shes having a tantrum so I continue to watch to see how the teachers handle it. One of the teachers stops sweeping and yanks my daughter up under her arms while yelling that is not your cot then put her down on another cot. My daughter, upset and crying walks over to the other teacher whos leaning on the changing table , reaches up to be picked up. The teacher ignores my daughter and continues to lean. A few seconds later another little girl reaches up to be picked up and the teacher immediately picks her up. As the teacher bends down to pick the other kid up she notices that Im looking through the window. She began to smile nervously and got down to my daughters level to console her . They didnt know I was watching that whole time. I wish there was video footage. I told the assistant director and she cut me off and tried to explain the rules of the classroom. When we got home I took my daughter to the potty and she told me that her bottom hurt. (Pointing to her private area) I looked and it was red . I called the school immediately to ask if they changed her. I thought maybe they used wipes I didnt provide. The assistant director said no then proceeded to ask if she fell outside why are you asking me?? Your teachers were outside watching her.
PRIMROSE… if you want to respond… go ahead… but please include in the response, the repercussions the teacher faced that mishandled the infant… (my mother in-law saw/you called her about it) because I believe the parents who entrust you with their children are owed more than a message on Procare that says “XXXXX is no longer with Primrose”.
