We have been sending our two kids to Primrose School of Crystal Falls for almost two years and have been so happy with the level of care and individual attention that they provide to each child. When Covid hit earlier this year, we, like so many families, had to make a difficult decision about whether to take our kids out of daycare. My husband and I both have full time jobs and didn’t know how we would manage keeping the kids home full time, while still working. We decided that keeping the kids at Primrose was the right decision for our family and we are so happy that we opted to continue down that path. Staying at school has given my kids a sense of normalcy during this crazy year. Of course, we had concerns at first about whether this was a safe option. Young kids are not exactly known for respecting each other’s personal space. But Primrose has continued adding safety precautions throughout the year to make it as safe as possible. In addition to the daily sanitization that they do inside the building, all staff and teachers wear masks, drop-off and pick-up now take place outside of the building, where all parents are also required to wear masks, temperatures are checked daily before a child can enter the building, things like blankets and lovies cannot be brought back and forth between school and home, children apply hand sanitizer prior to entering the building, sign in is now touchless and done through an app on your phone, etc. The list goes on and on. And so far, all of these precautions have worked. They have been open the entire time, without incident, and have continued to provide the same level of care, always with a smile on their faces.
We are so blessed to have such a great place to send our two children during these crazy times. The protocols the staff have in place go above and beyond what I would expect a school to be doing. From the time I drop off my children to pickup I know they are doing more than enough to keep my children and their staff safe. When you pull up to the school they have a staff member who is masked waiting to greet our children. They respectfully ask that each parent wear a mask while waiting at least 6 feet apart from one another for the temperature check of every child. Once the temperature check is complete they take your child inside the building and walk them to their classroom as another staff member comes to greet the next child in line. Not once I have ever felt that their protocol was lax or not enough. If you have not been taking your child to school you should highly consider it at this one. My children are happy as can be and I know they are safer there than anywhere else. Only downside is we are missing the annual Thanksgiving feast for the first time in 9 years 🙁
Thank you Jay, Sara, Brandy and the rest of the staff that make our lives a little more normal and for caring so much for our children.
Primrose School of Crystal Falls is more than a daycare – it is our family. With our 3 kids, we’ve been through the Pre-K program, the junior kinder program, the explorers program, the infant program, the toddler program and now we are in the early preschool program. The staff and teachers care for our boy like he is their own. He has been attending all through the pandemic which has been good for his daily routine and allows my husband and I to continue work. As there have been numerous changes to help keep everyone safe and healthy, the school has communicated those changes and the kiddos have been very adaptable. Each morning we now drop off outside at the door where baby boy does a temperature check, sanitizes and then walks on in with a smile. Quite honestly, it’s efficient and helpful for separation anxiety. Even though parents are not in the school on a daily basis, we receive photos via their app daily. It’s great to see his smile throughout the day. We could go on and on but we love our neighborhood Primrose. It’s part of the community and certainly part of our family.
