I will not recommend this school for full-time working parents who are expecting the daycare will help toddlers to adapt the school setting with a program that you can choose based on your work schedule. The school has it’s advantage but didn’t work for us.
We sent our 2-year-old to this school and were forced into the 8AM -12:30PM program and mandated to keep this schedule for 2 months because short nap and not lay down during nap time. When we tried the 3:30 PM program, we got calls to pick up several times during the week and even got call when we were in the 12:30 PM program merely because of the nap time problem. This completely messed up our work schedule.
We were lucky to switch school within the area after the 5th week we were here, and we disclosed our experience with the new school. The new one has been successfully taken care of our kid full time since day 1 without any napping issue and language barrier like Primrose claimed.
Before switching school, we thought it’s because our kid like the director in Primrose said: Every kid is different. But I also want to say to parents with similar experience that every daycare is also different too. You can find one that works for you and your kid.
We absolutely love Primrose Sandy Springs North. I had so much anxiety about going back to work and what someone else caring for our son would look like. It didn’t take long at all to see these teachers care so much. I feel like they love him like their own. Help him with his growth and at the same time he has so much fun everyday with all the educational activities. Above and beyond!!!! Speaking on above and beyond Ms Misty in the older infant class has been more than wonderful in helping our son adjust to change from being home with us for so long. And did so in such a loving way. Thank you!
When looking for places waiting list were so long we extended to other areas and this was the one to open first. We thought once something a little closer to us opened up we would transfer there. But no, we make it work because the peace of mind they give us while we have to work.
The other amazing thing here is the communication between all the staff, the owner, administrators, teachers, all the way to the dietician’s . Everyone knows the kids and the parents that they belong to by name. That’s so great for safety. I could go on and on. Thank you everyone for all you do, we appreciate you.
It was ok but not great. The most disappointing thing was that the teacher of our group (preK) was very frequently absent and the groups were merged without any warning. Since my son didn’t know English in the beginning and it was a very new experience for him any changes to a normal routine were very stressful. The management did not care about it and never cared to warn us about any changes. Sometimes we would just come and leave because the groups were merged again.
Also, we were expecting some more or less serious education and learning program – what was taught was extremely primitive and basic. It’s ok if you need for someone to look after your kid while you’re at work but it’s not a place where your child will learn a lot.
To sum up, the place is ok but you don’t get much for 1500 bucks that you pay monthly
