Our experience wasnt great. Our 1 year old came home with a minimum of 3 new bruises plus scratches every day he attended, with no incident report or anyone mentioning anything to us until after we complained to the director after the 4th day. The one incident report we did receive was for large scratch across his face and no one knew how he got it and we were asked several times if he was like that when we dropped him off (nope, I was taking pictures at drop off at this point to check for physical changes). I requested that they check the cameras just to make sure nothing crazy was going on and found out that they dont have any cameras at all except outside and in the hallways. Too weird. We pulled him out after picking him up on the 7th day with more bruising. He had been a sturdy walker for a solid month before starting and is not an especially accident prone toddler. Also, on the first day at pick-up my husband walked in and our son was having a full on melt down alone in a corner; one floater adult with a very young child in her lap and out of ratio, ignoring all of the other kids. I was really shocked with how expensive and nice looking this place was with the results we had. The director really seemed to want to work with us and try to figure out a solution, but I am lucky enough to have back up childcare and didnt feel like experimenting with this daycare any further. I also think they push the kids a little too far developmentally. They said my son would never eat lunch at the toddler table/chair set up
he was exactly 12 months old. Kids are definitely supposed to still be in high chairs at that age. I wanted this place to work for us so much but honestly should have pulled him out sooner. He was not his usual, happy self for about 2 weeks after we left.
We had our 10 month old son at Primrose for several months (started at 6 months) and we loved them! After the first week, where our son was nervous, he completely opened up to being around new people (we had him at home as long as we could manage in the middle of the pandemic while we both worked). I knew we had picked a great place because he went from being shy to pushing away from me and toward the door greeter at drop off. I loved all of his teachers, and the administrative staff, who were all incredibly helpful when we were dealing with a chronic ear infection and subsequent yeast rash from the antibiotic.
It isn’t cheap, but you do get what you pay for. Friendly staff, happy and cared for babies, and peace of mind. The only reason we left had to do with a change in my working arrangement, and that was still a hard decision because our son was so happy there. We were traveling 2 hours a day just for daycare, so we opted to try something closer.
We still have Primrose on the table if we don’t like the new daycare though, and if my working arrangement changes again. I would highly recommend it.
We started my now 2 year old in Primrose when she was 1! It took her a while but she has adjusted beautifully and loves going to school and meeting her teachers and friends. The teachers are very caring and loving – Ms. Ketal, Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Alexa, Ms. Doris, Ms. Chhaya, Ms. Preeti, Ms. Karley have all been amazing. The office staff is always welcoming and friendly. Ms. Mallika Pabani is wonderful too. Chef Laura is super sweet.
We are vegetarian and were initially concerned about if she is getting veg food only as requested, and they now ensure our dietary restrictions are taken care of. I also appreciate the updates and photos through out the day- it warms my heart to see my babys pictures!
It is also clean and neat. Activities are wonderful and my daughter loves the circle time and play time and has developed a good command over the spoken language and overall understanding of things. She also talks about her friends regularly at home. We highly recommend this place. They genuinely care about kids!
