I’ve been going to this school for along time, and have meet friendly students, and the instructor. I don’t have a lot of contact with Vicki, she seem very nice, and Terri, is very nice, Tony has left for awhile, even she has always been nice. They half a young man there, as well as young lady, who are in train as instructor. That’s what my student, who was cutting my hair. the student called the instructor, over to check my hair. Oh! I saw Mark on the floor, so I waved him over, I wanted my sides cut, he had Instructed a different student on how to do it. I said, I’d like my sides, cut like Farrah Fosset hair style, I knew he would know who she was, a moive star would died of cancer. the student, had no idea who she was, and the student instructor, Hadn’t said a word yet, because I was talking. Mark came over and scold at me, and said ‘it would take away, half my face. Scold(find fault with angrily) That was totally un call for. I want the student’s to know, that I have always been, a big tipper, I have give other student’s ‘five dollar tip’s for an eight dollar haircut , and much more for my, hair color as well as my prem. I left the saloon upset, Mark had always, been friendly before. So just remember that snake, has fangs. This is a service position, Maybe it’s time for him to do some thing else. I know it’s time for me to go to a different school, I go to the salon to have a good experiences. It was my birthday day and I wanted to have a fresh cut for dinner that evening. shame on you “mark”
***UPDATE 11-19-2014

SINCE LEAVING THIS 5 STAR REVIEW 4 MONTHS AGO (BELOW), I MUST SERIOUSLY REVISE MY OPINION. THINGS HAVE DRASTICALLY GONE DOWNHILL IN THE LAST MONTHS. MANAGEMENT’S ATTITUDE IS APPALLING. ALL THE BEST INSTRUCTORS HAVE LEFT….THE REMAINING TRAINERS ARE LESS-THAN-COMPETENT. I’D BE SURPRISED IF IT WAS STILL IN BUSINESS NEXT YEAR. NO LONGER WOULD I RECOMMEND THE YAKIMA PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY SCHOOL TO ANYONE. IT’S A SHAME, BUT IT’S TRUE.

I’ve been a client here for about 8 years, and have always been happy with the results – manicures, pedicures, hair trims & colors. The prices & the services are great! I have extra long hair, and my previous salon’s price for a cut and color was just getting outrageous.

As to the previous reviewers comments regarding Mark (Supervisor / Trainer), I have always found him to be nothing but helpful, friendly and always accessible.

The only “con” in this “sea of pros”, is that the students / operators eventually graduate, so you’re always dealing with a turnover….but it IS a school after all, and that’s to be expected.

Outstanding prices & services — 5 stars!

I was going to get a haircut with my sister, mother, and friend. My sister got a t-foil and a bang trim. I got a regular trim with layers. My experience was okay, but they cut shorter than expected. My sister’s experience took over three hours. They ended up dying my sister’s hair an orange color instead of a blonde, which she did not ask for. Also, she asked for a side bang trim, but they cut it too short, too high, and made into a 90’s style. She came back crying, because they completely ruined her hair and did not give her the desired hairstyle and color she wanted. I don’t recommend this place.
