I signed my daughter up for the Mighty Mights Tumble class, the day of the first class we show up to three teens that inform us my daughter is the only student today. One of the teens explained that they weren’t the instructors for the class that her mother is but she’s on vacation. My two other children have done ballet and karate with teen instructors but always with an adult employee supervising and stepping in if necessary. There was a boy that seemed to be the one that was going to teach my daughter for the day, he was very nice, unfortunately my three year old daughter going through a phase where she is scared of men she doesn’t know. He stepped out of the room, leaving us with the two other girls. After some convincing my daughter began the class. One of the teens laid on some mats on her phone before leaving the room, we didn’t see her again. The instructor’s daughter had my daughter do some warm ups and a forward tumble, she then had to check her phone to “see what else we can do”. She seemed ill prepared and I was a bit frustrated that the normal instructor wouldn’t leave her some instruction. If you’re going to have your teenage daughter teach classes without you there leave the poor girl with the tools she needs to do so. We left the first class feeling like it was a mess but glad our daughter had done it at all with her shyness. The evening before the second class I received an email stating the class is being canceled due to lack of signups. They offered another class which didn’t work for our schedule so I asked for a refund – a partial one, despite her only lesson being a disaster. Of course I get no response. I’ve sent three more emails and left a voicemail, no response. Horrible communication and customer service!

Where do I start!! As a military Family it is such a big change for my family and kids going to new places. When we first came to V.A my daughter so badly wanted to continue dancing. I did a lot of research and came across Progressions Dance School. As any new mom I wanted to ensure that my daughter would fit in with the school. As we all are aware of now a days not all schools are the same. I cannot tell you how AMAZING Mrs. Jen and all of her instructors are. Not only are they extremely talented but they are amazing with people of all ages and skill. Her staff and the families were so very welcoming. My daughter was able to try out the school to ensure this was a good fit. It did not take long for us to realize that this was more than just a dance studio they treat everyone like family. Mrs. Jen truly loves all of her students and ensures she does what is best for each and every one of them. If you are looking for a place to take your child THIS IS IT!!!
