I went to 116 in the 90’s it was an awesome school, I still remember my German fourth grade teacher and Miss Silvis from 5th grade. Mr. White was the Vice Principal then. I remember this school because its where I read Bridge to Terabithia I often used to find myself wandering about the school as though I was looking for that place. Too many memories all good, Best school ever.
I attended PS116 from Kindergarten to 3rd grade in the late 1940’s. At that time it was very authoritarian. We moved to southern California in 1951, which I considered a vast improvement in personal freedom. Someday I’ll go back and visit the old jail.
It was a great school u only have to be in the teachers good side and try your best
