Im writing to share the experience my wife had today at PS139 REGO PARK.My son did not have school today and couldnt leave him home alone so she had to bring him with her. Upon dropping off our daughter it turned out she couldnt stay with my son for the school event. So my wife wanted to tell my daughter that she wasnt going to stay and to have fun. However, the school staff wouldnt let my wife go in with our son. They said she had to leave him in the front alone. My son doesnt do well being left alone with people who doesnt know and it made my wife feel very uncomfortable to have to leave my son alone because they wouldnt allow her inside with him. The school should be more understanding with parents who dont have baby sitters and cant leave their kid at home in situations like these.
Don’t understand the children, don’t do anything about bullying, the teachers don’t care about what happens and sometimes even bully other children. Only met one nice teacher here and whenever someone gets hurt they get sent to the nurse and the nurse ends up doing nothing.
Very good elementary, but after new principal came in, idk how it is like. They have not fixed a basketball hoop in the park for over a year, tho, if that helps
