My personal experience. Few bad teachers & staffs are tolerated in this school. Specially KL class & 1st grade 1L teachers, & 2nd teacher 2L ugly inside & outside. They make other kids fight your kid, try to fail your kid because they have personal issues with you, some bad staffs lie on your kid & let kids fight till they hurt each other. In winter class temperatures 100 degrees, kids feel ill, bad teachers don’t care. They have no patience to teach kids & they wanna put your child to Special ED! You have no right to report, to make complaint, they will fail & abuse your child. “Witchcraft Manupilation”
I was one of the fist graduates of P.S. 189 way back in the day, and although I didn’t know it back then, my experience there would affect me for the rest of my life. The community was very close knit, the parents were very involved, knew the teachers, and one another. I feel lucky and privileged to have gone to school there. My mother always referred to it as a public “private” school because of the quality of education we received. Graduates have gone on to become neurosurgeons, found companies, and hold public office, and it doesn’t surprise me one bit.
Its a good school we go on fun trips towards the end of the year we have fitness programs for girls as Ms. Gil always told us “hate me know love me later” it means if u hate a teacher because she or he is hard on you it will pay of later in life. I miss all the teachers i used to have in this school except for two mean teachers Ms.Rosario and Ms.Muñoz other than that its all good
