the facility never passed a surprise inspection when i worked there not to long ago. i got there one day to find all the nap blankets and area rug were gone. didnt learn till the end of the day that they were removed for LICE! once i learned this i immediately bagged all the dress up play clothes and hats in a bag. as they must remain that way till all the bugs are dead. the office staff returned the play hats to my classroom the very next day without being cleaned.
NO NOTES were sent home and i was personally asked to not tell the parents about the lice or i would have to “find alternative employement”…3 days later i discovered I HAD LICE!! omg it was horrifying and gross. my coworker (who had kids there) got lice 3x and her daughter 4x before she quit and removed her.
I had a little boy try and stab other kids with scissors and was told i had to “handle it” they refused to have him removed from school (there were worse things this child did but i wont mention for privacy reasons)
he was directly putting others in harm and all i could do was put him “on the wall” aka time out even though i physically cant make this child STAY there.
Finally the director came in and told him she would call the police on him (4yr old) if he didnt behave and they would take him to jail!
THATS when i looked for another job and left. as far as they know we left on good terms. the teachers are great ladies and truly love the students but im not sure what parents think they are paying for.
its supposed to be a “christian based” school but there is no real structure. when i told the lead teacher in my class the site said that she laughed and told me not in the years that she had been there.
Do i think your child is in any danger here? NO!
Will they be taught basic skills and education? YES!
Will they be monitored at all times? YES!
will they have fun? YES!

just keep in mind, ive been other places and never encountered the ego problems i have here or the utter nonsense.

We Love Quail Valley. A friendly atmosphere with nurturing and enthusiastic teachers. People you can see when interacting with the kids that they love their jobs. I can’t say enough about how blessed we are to have them as our extended family. My daughter has attended this child care center for over 5 years now with several of the same teachers still working there today. As a working parent, we always focus and strive that our child is safe, somewhere we trust and is taken care of the same way as we do. Especially when she spends a large chunk of time during the summer and half of that time during the school year. It is so awesome that I observe that she receives that type of care at Quail Valley. When I am at work I can be at ease knowing she is well taken care of and having lots of fun. I can tell that my child is around a positive, upbeat type of environment, and enjoys playing with her friends. The staff caring about your child’s health, safety and care, shows me, I know I have her in the right place. The communication on both sides is always on point. Greeted everytime I/we walk in and taking forever leaving at pick up time, she loves going there that much. My daughter always has kind words to say about everyone there. When her and I talk about her day, everything she shares and expresses exceeds my expectations and for that I wouldn’t want her anywhere else. Not too mention the lunch she is provided. It is nice to know she loves the food that she eats there during the summer. So many times, she lets me know she had a great meal that day. Standing back watching her before she even notices I have arrived, seeing a perfect happy smile on her face, her interacting with her friends or even helping to help pick up legos, it’s a big hug and mom can I finish this or let’s not leave yet that I hear. Finding the right daycare is an important choice a parent has to make. I am so glad that we have found ours!
Thank you Quail Valley.
Quail Valley was one of the best work experiences I have ever had. I worked with great coworkers, office staff, and the families were wonderful. I am so grateful for my time there. I still remember the director saying “a good beginning lasts a lifetime.” This is so important and true, especially for those of us working with young children.
