We have two daughters who attend QCA: One is a 7th grader who started in second grade, and the other is a 4th grader who started in kindergarten. We initially hesitated to move our girls to a private school because of the cost, but the afterschool program at QCA was significantly cheaper and made the transition more affordable than we originally anticipated.

Over the past five years or so, we have met and have had our girls taught by a large percentage of the QCA staff. Most have been on staff our entire tenure, and their dedication and kindness toward our children — all the children at QCA — is a rare, special thing.

In addition, the academic rigor is much more challenging than the public school curriculum, and the teachers do a great job teaching this advanced material. Students are supported emotionally, motivated to do well, held to a higher standard, and respond accordingly.

The STEM programs are strong, but QCA also values the arts and offers opportunities to visit museums, see the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and take advantage of other enrichment opportunities in town. Students can also learn an instrument, sing in chorus, or audition for the annual musical.

We were with QCA through COVID and were in class after the whole 2019-2020 school year, which made us extremely thankful for the small class sizes. The student body is diverse despite the small class sizes.

The class sizes promote deep relations between students. While this can be difficult as the kids enter middle school, it also makes for great friendships and caring communities.

Our time at QCA has not been without incident, but we always feel heard after reporting and discussing our issues with the principal or teachers. Overall, we are very happy we sent our girls to QCA and highly recommend the school to others.

There are several reasons as to why my 7th grader has been at QCA since Kindergarden. From day one I’ve loved the smaller classes sizes and the attention that each student gets. Everyone and I mean everyone who works at QCA is friendly. The teachers always wear a smile and are truly invested in my child’s education. The principal has always been welcoming, accessible, and motivates the students to be the best they can be. The office staff goes above and beyond to answer questions and assist with anything administrative that comes up. QCA has a family atmosphere, which I love and I’m confident that my daughter is in a safe and loving environment all day. It feels that we are part of one team that is focused on providing a great education for our children. QCA hosts many events throughout the year, such as Spring Play, Halloween Party, Christmas Parade, arts and craft fair, etc. So as a parent there are plenty of chances to get involved with the school and meet other parents. I love seeing everyone come together as a community and make something special!
Thank you QCA for taking such a great care of my child over the years and giving her such a great foundation for her future endeavors in life!
