The class sizes are small — 10-12 students at most — and well equipped. Course offerings are diverse and the material is challenging. The level of communication is excellent. If your child has a special talent, you can expect the full support of the school in developing that talent. For example, if a middle schooler is gifted in math or music, they’ll shuttle the child over to the high school for accelerrated instruction. Extra help is also provided after school if your child needs it. Lunch is well planned and nutritious. There are many, many opportunities for both the children and parents to interact. The teachers are accessible and responsive. I can’t say enough good things about this school.
I personally went to the school wanting to get a feel for the learning environment, curriculum etc… when I walk in to the admission office, the first thing I am asked was if I had an appointment, proceeded by “we are full” for the next school year and lastly directing me to the website to learn more.
How can you treat a prospect parent like this? They should welcome the fact that I took the time to visit in person from out of state. This is just terrible. I felt like all they care is business versus being educators and fostering partnership with parents.
