I have to agree with another review on here. Redmond elementary used to be a darling school with amazing teachers. In recent years with the explosion of apartments and new homes on any available strip of land, Redmond Elementary has become home to a transient community of students. The great veteran teachers that once held the school together are now gone and retired. The front office staff is kind and it’s not their fault that a bevy of changes has ruined their school. Due to the big switch up with the middle school and high school, the elementary schools lost the 6 grade along with many amazing teachers that just had enough of the district changes. Sadly, today the school is filled with new teachers that lack experience and consistency and some with a lack of respect. I could elaborate on this topic but I think you will see more reviews like this in the months and years to come. It’s really very sad that a school like this has turned into such a mess. When looking to place your child in a school, this is one to avoid if you can.
There are mixed feelings for this school, especially genderwise. For the girls, they are treasted as is they were from Valhalla. They got pats on the shoulders, hugs, and good advice, as well as being spoiled. As for the boys, that was a different story. The teachers treated us like lumps of mud, and sometimes like the plague or bees. They screamed at us for no reason, tried to close down the boys bathroom, and otherwise completely ignored us, save for Mrs. Burton, the best teacher in the school. Last day of 5th grade best day of my life. Some advice: for the school’s good, fire Ms. Case. She was the demon, the dark wizard. She allowed girls not only to bully, but encouraged them. This school, frankly, is the worst school in the world. I would strongly encourage you to move away as fast as you can if your child is going to go to this school.
Why the rating by web and parent / real state are so varied and the rate was 9 but when I checked by home in one of the real state web site its 7 ??? So weird
For my little girl k was amazing and Ms. talcott made the whole year perfect for me and my girl and now also in 1st grade we had different experience as we had new school teacher but still my daughter had a great time there I was shocked when I read the * or** comments may be with higher grade. Staff are so friendly organized I love them.
So in which rate normally I should depend when moving to new school?
