I highly recommend Remuera Montessori center as the amount of individual attention to my son was paramount. Following the classic Montessori program, the school provided structured education where the children learn in their own pace, not rushed, not boring. The environment is always very calm and the teachers really listen to the children and attend to their needs. My son has received the extensive knowledge on linguistics, math, geography, nature and science and he gained a confidence during monthly ‘show and tells’, where he learned to speak up in front of the audience. Practical skills were taught daily and my boy got to be quite a helper at home, from folding the laundry to cooking simple meals.
And for all these years of being a part of Remuera Montessori my son went on several excursions, from the mountain field trips, a visit to the library and a bus trip to Auckland Zoo. It was very exciting and very well organized. Highlighted safety of all the participants provided the best outcome of the excursions when everyone could relax and enjoy the day.
The teachers are very calm, yet enthusiastic in teaching methods, attentive and caring. They work as a team and get along with each other perfectly and the kids can see that.

The teachers put so much effort into each day with learning revolving around monthly topics such as continents, languages, emergency basics, art, space and Earth.
Children work on individual learning activities daily, do group activities such as gardening and cooking, can free play in the large outdoor area, celebrate special events like cultural days – there’s so much going on here, you really just have to go see for yourself!

It’s evident the teachers warm but firm approach has a positive effect on the children who are happy, well behaved and supported to become independent.

Our little one just started primary school and there is no doubt the 18 months he spent here has prepared him well personally and academically. He is focused, independent and ahead in terms of literacy and numbers.

We decided to move our son from another daycare as we noticed he didn’t enjoy going and to give Montessori Remuera a go. We heard and read a lot of good things about not only Montessori but this daycare in particular. When we initially met with the Daycare Manager, we noticed a huge difference right away the second we walked through the door. All the kids were calm and collected because they were so focused on whatever activity they were doing but I could see them also really enjoying themselves. I had such a good feeling on the first day that we enrolled him right away. I can truly say we are so happy with our decision to move him as our son really thrives here. He comes home telling us about everything he does daily, he sings songs at the dinner table and has picked up of so many things that he didn’t at his previous. He now finishes his lunch and isn’t as picky as he use to be. He’s become very independent and wants to even get in his car seat on his own and won’t let us put his shoes on or off for him. Something I am very grateful for is the teachers here are very attentive – something that our son needs. It gives me peace of mind that when he’s not with us, the teachers here are able to teach and guide him through everyday tasks that we simply can’t while he’s away. But at the same time he’s having fun learning.

The biggest thing for me is when we started potty training and they helped and encouraged our 2 year old. I had so much anxiety with this as I thought it would be difficult but he became fully potty trained within 2 weeks! Unbelievable.

I 100% recommend this place. The teachers are fun, the activities are fun, the excursions are fun. The events here are so cute and fun too. Each week/term has been carefully thought out to truly keep our kids engaged. It’s all play but with a purpose.

Thank you so much ladies, our son is always asking when he can go to his “new daycare” despite being there almost a year now he still calls it that haha and this just makes my heart so happy as mum guilt is real and I don’t feel so guilty anymore having to work as I know he’s in good hands. Can’t thank you enough! Appreciate everything you do!
