I graduated from this school in the mid to late 2010s and I was here for about 8 years, and all I can say is that this school has one of the worst environments ever. It mostly had to do with my peers, since I was bullied to the point of me wanting to move schools throughout my time here and the teachers did nothing about the bullying. All of this combined the the catholic education and weekly masses/rosaries made me resent religion as a whole so much that I begged my mom to let me go to a public high school where I wasn’t treated the way I was here and actually met some of the nicest people ever. All I’m saying is that catholic schools aren’t as welcoming and positive of a place for some children as they make it out to be. If I was a parent and had to chose to send my child to a school, it sure as hell won’t be this one.
I love being a part of this school! Wonderful faculty and staff, leadership, parents, students, parish priests, and community. Resurrection is ahead of its time, having implemented project-based learning, the Growth Mindset, Project Lead the Way, Makerspace, and a STREAM Initiative before many other schools. There is a dedication to constant growth and improvement for the sole purpose of benefitting the students. Resurrection’s future and its students’ future are bright!
