I was initially drawn to this school because it was one of the only exclusively outdoor preschools in the area during the pandemic and finding a safe place was my top priority. I then became impressed with the introduction and transitional phase: Manijeh first met with my son 1:1 at the preschool so that they could become acquainted with each other and he could explore the preschool without the other children present. This was an opportunity to see if the school was a good fit. Afterwards, my son was invited to come with me during the school hours to play with and meet with the other children prior to my son starting school there. His transition to preschool was seamless.

Several months after my son was attending preschool there and thriving, he became more comfortable testing boundaries and some of his challenging behaviors (i.e. pushing other children) that he had been exhibiting at home and at parks started popping up in school. I was terrified that he would be kicked out of the school for such unacceptable behaviors. Instead, Manijeh and Hassan would send him home early if he behaved this way and worked with me and my husband to try to best support my son. Manijeh shared an invaluable resource with me, as well as the other parents- Santa Clara County Office of Education Inclusion Warmline. It was through the Warmline that I was first introduced to the idea that my son was seeking proprioceptive input and received tangible advice and tools. To make a long story short, Manijeh also encouraged me to seek assessment for my son through the school district. Although he has no diagnosis at this time, his ADHD -like behaviors and challenges have made him eligible for preschool through the school district with an IEP.

My son would still be attending Right Start if he didn’t need the additional support through the school district that a small, home-based school simply cannot provide. We truly miss our Right Start family and will continue to keep in touch and visit as we are able. I highly recommend this preschool.

Right Start Preschool is a great pre-school on every aspect I can imagine. My daughter attended this school in 2021 and early 2022. The school is very organized and very clean. Owners and teachers are not only very nice people, but also very professional in educating preschool age kids.They work very hard to design and implement diversified activities ranging from academic activities and other activities such as cooking, gardening, art, music, performing…etc., They also help connect kids and their families, I’ve got the chance to know and even do play dates during weekends with my daughter’s classmates during weekends.
They are very open to communication and very inviting to parents who wish to visit or even accompany the kids at school when necessary. I feel one hundred percent relieved about my daughter’s safety, mental wellbeing and happiness when I leave her here.
The teachers pay great attention to each individual kid based on his/her personality, strength and weakness. Besides their efforts with the kids in the preschool, they are also very knowledgable about educational resources and opportunities in the region and in the school districts, and can give great suggestions and advices to us.I greatly appreciate the efforts of Manije and Hassan to help the development of my daughter. Their love and attention to kids are sincere and wholehearted, which is as wonderful as their excellence in teaching. I frequently receive Manije’s communication with us about all aspects of my kid, sometimes even late at night and I greatly appreciate Manije and Hassan’s hard work. I sincerely recommend this place to parents. This is a school of treasure. Although we have moved to a different house by end of 2021, we still would rather drive her back half an hour everyday to the school for a couple of months. Now I still keep thinking about this great school and feel lucky for my daughter. Wish you all the best Manije and Hassan, thank you!!

We have our son, almost 3 for more than a year at Right Start Preschool. We couldn’t feel happier and more lucky to have found such a wonderful place for our kids.
My older son, age 5, attended their preschool for 2 years too.
The atmosphere of the school is happy, the kids are amazingly well behaved, and they have fun learning here. The credit goes to Manijeh and Hassan, who have instilled such good values and fun atmosphere at the school. My older son, having been out of the preschool for about a year now, still wants to visit there all the time and meet his teachers.
They have fun activities like water play, sand play, fun circle time, music times, singing and playing with learning based toys. Manijeh and Hassan are excellent teachers and both my kids learnt a lot here.
We highly recommend this preschool to anyone looking for a cozy school with personal attention for their kids.
