I have been back and forth between this school and North springs; But as you can see they have a very wide attendance zone, thus making the school full, populous and diverse. However, diverse is a very….strong word to describe the people at this school. Very strong. Anyways, the classes are difficult so expect a challenge. The Magnet/IB is also challenging but gives a good start to college preparations and other fun activities. The counselors are ok, if you’re lucky enough to get the right one. The curriculum is….respectable. The principal isn’t horrible. The teachers are OK….like I said. If you’re lucky. The students…..your peers….well they can be….high schoolers. The best way to describe them. The food is ok mostly, but I recommend bringing your own lunch. It’s mostly because I hate the cafeteria….its disgusting. But who knows…..that new schools looking pretty good. Anyways, if you or your child is into socialism and of the rich/wealthy variety and enjoys sports, games, learning, and stuff like that. This is a good place for you….of course if you’re more of an artsy kid with some goals in mind, don’t like busy work and enjoy living in the high-school experience rather than just working in it…..maybe try north springs first. And if that doesn’t work out…..then come here. I mean……guess you could say that worked out for me….Its not a BAD school, and its not great one either (yet i suppose)….its just OK.
