I believe that this school is a great school. This school has helped me to get better at English and I love some of the teachers especially the English teacher that I have now is the BEST(Mrs. Dehenre)And my last year English teacher was also really good(Mrs. Wofford) These teacher really understood me for who I am,and they put up with all my talking.I also think that the GT program is really good too.But I think there are some downs to this school.First of all I think that some teachers in this school are way too mean to the point where you just give up on their class. Also another problem is that I got two detentions for leaving to class early and I thought that the teachers overreacted.I liked all the coaches in athletics but I think that they should make the kids who were talking do high plank instead of the whole group because when you help the coaches put up the mats and then you and a couple of your other friends run two miles without stopping, and then you will also to do sprints because of all the other kids that were messing around you will not be happy.BTW I forgot to say that I am a troublemaker so I had to go to Mr. Veel’s office many times,I really liked that instead of being strict he actually talked to me and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable.
But in majority I think that this school is a great school and there are kids that are nice and chill and there are that aren’t. But it is a good school
The school’s grading policy and system is completely broken. Grades are entered weeks later and there’s no warning of late grades. For PRE-AP, my kid had simple notes, turned in the next day. Now he’s got an 82 from a 95 and there’s no way to up the grade. Don’t make your kid go through this if he has any extracurricular activities, or anything other than school at all. Piled up with homework every day, and it just stresses them. None of my kids have had good times at any of the schools, on all levels. Most of all, probably the MOST FRUSTRATING, is google classroom. They can change due dates and put it on you and all of a sudden my kid has a 70. The problem with everything being digitally is that the kids always get the short end of the stick and whatever the teacher says goes. Absolutely ridiculous, not to mention how bad some of the teachers are, while there are a few that my kids like, many are very bad. They hand out paperwork and that’s all that happens.
I beg you not to let your kids go through this, it would be better just to home school them.
I enjoy Reynolds I am in 7th grade, and so far I am loving it, however I HATED 6th grade. Out of the whole 6th grade I had two awesome teachers (Mrs. Wofford), and (Coach Goode). My others teachers, besides math, just gave me a pile of work, or a huge hyper doc and asked for it to be done with at the end of the week. One of my personal least favorite classes was Mrs. Stalling. SHE WAS THE WORST, she hated me and had lots of favoritism. Out of the whole semester I was in her class, I did one lab. And it was just looking at the distance of the planets from a perspective. By the way it was science. I liked my math teacher, she was really good at teaching, BUT if you are starting school 2nd semester or late in general because you moved or something, do not do pre ap math. Because it is very hard to learn the old subjects if you are from a different school district. If you did not already learn them.
