The day Robin Hood had an opening for my daughter to be enrolled into the sunshine room, was the day my family experienced the biggest blessing!

Unfortunately prior to the opening at Robin Hood, we had two horrible in-home daycare experiences after we thought we had vetted the caregiver to the best of our ability. For months, we picked up our daughter from the in-home daycare where she had been crying all day. It was awful.

Today, I tell my family and friends that my 20 month old daughter thinks Robin Hood is her family, and we are just her caregivers. My daughter looks forward to going to Robin Hood every single day- I watch her run to the door and greet her teachers with a hug. We pick her up, and she is all smiles- happy and healthy.

Now let me dive into her development since she has attended Robin Hood (she started in August 2016). She has interest in animals, books and drawings. She does not need tablets, phones and screen time to be entertained, rather she loves her books and animal figures. She is social, polite and loving- these are all attributes she has developed at Robin Hood.

My husband and I are constantly complimented on how well mannered she is for a toddler and we always respond with, “We can’t take the credit, she attends an amazing Montessori.” The toddlers at Robin Hood are more well mannered than adults I come across in public places- it’s pretty impressive!

The Staff is absolutely amazing- hands down, the most loving, kind, patient Teachers I have witnessed. They will wave hello to you even if they are in far distance and every teacher knows your name even if your child is not in their classroom.

We are so proud to say Robin Hood is our family, it is truly a privilege and honor to have our daughter attend a school with such great, respectful and academically/socially well rounded environment. We never have to question the safety or well being of my child there, we have never been at such ease.

Thank you Robin Hood, for taking such good care of our loved ones! I wish I could rate this review more than 5 stars, we are SO lucky to have our daughter in your school!

I thought long & hard about writing this review, but ultimately felt it was my parental responsibility to my children and to myself (the me 3+ years ago looking for the right fit for our children & family). We as parents thrive to be consistent and to be our children’s voices, especially when they are unable to articulate/communicate effectively. As a parent, I’d highly recommend touring a lot of schools, meet more than just the director, observe the class, the kids, the playground, the location and especially the vibe you get from the overall experience. Now having my kids in a different Montessori I now see the difference in my kids happiness, comfort, confidence and overall well-being. I also clearly see the healthy interactions we as a family have with the teachers, director and the school as a whole. We are all so much happier and I should’ve gone with my gut and made the change much earlier. Choosing a school for your child is an important responsibility and one to research. I’m writing to help share some insight into our experience and hopefully help with finding the right school for u and especially ur kids. Everyone has a different experience and comfort in different places/situations, so make your own observations/judgments. However, we can honestly say that Robin Hood was not a good fit for us and the bad clearly out-weighed the good. We felt the director/lead teacher had emotional extremes and our family felt uncomfortable on more than a few occasions. Hindsight is 20/20, and if only we could know then what we know today in what we liked, needed, wanted out of a school, the overall environment and experience for our amazing kids, we would’ve made a different choice with having our kids attend this school.
